Hit and Run Accident Leads to Fatal Collision

A driver that was involved in a hit and run accident was killed in another crash attempting to flee from the scene of the accident. The accident happened in Schaumburg, Illinois Monday night when 19-year-old Michael Owsiany caused a minor car accident and fled the scene. As he was driving away, 39-year-old Erin Semerad negotiated a left turn in front of Owsiany’s vehicle and the two vehicle collided. Both Semerad and Owsiany were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and Owsiany’s passenger, 23-year-old Ashley Trenholm was transported to the hospital and listed in critical condition. Authorities are continuing to investigate the accident.
